More dog than anything else

This is my busy time of year at work, my schedule is booked until the 2nd week of July with only a few days off when it's closing time on the new property.
That's not to say there isn't anything exciting going on of course:

On the way to the property for the home inspection. Besides a couple of home wiring issues, it's very solid. I was able to meet one of the owners and learned a little more about the original homestead, uses over the years, etc.
The Amish family had the horses roaming around so I grabbed a few photo's. It was good to watch them, it probably made us change the location for the dog fence. Originally it would run along the fence (pictured) but now we are thinking the other side of the cabin, so the horses can enjoy the space a little more and Rock doesn't go crazy whenever they are grazing on this end.

We weren't able to get home and lost a tomato plant, the price we pay for dual income.

Rock is getting plenty of hiking, and of course so are we. He carried a large stick into bed one morning but we were both already up and didn't get jabbed.
and of course, more Rock, since I know you all love dogs so much. Enjoy!

    1. We are very excited, and can't wait to see what we can do for improvements. The list is huge, but it's going to be a grand adventure in permaculture design.

    1. We are trying to think of a fun name for the property, it's fun to talk about framboise manor, so we want a name too!
      Rock says thanks!

    2. that's an awesome idea! you need to give us some descriptive words of the property and how it makes you all feel and then maybe one of us can come up with a good name for it. tell Rock he's very welcome and give him a good scratch on both ears for me!

    3. I have an idea of what we are planning to call it, but I'll wait until after we close on it.

  3. You certainly have the wide open spaces there. Your new location looks like a winner. At least there are no mud slide around to get you, I trust. You've got about everything there a person could want from what I can tell.

    1. No, no danger of mudslides (for now at least). This place was really everything we wanted minus more acreage, but that was only for shooting so it will work out well with Nat. Forest right behind us 1/2 mile. Still have a few weeks to go but it's exciting.
